2018 Datafaction AccuInsight User Group Events Recap
November 13, 2018 Paley Center for Media Beverly Hills:
We recently held our Datafaction AccuInsight User Group Event for our clients on the west coast. “The Greatest Show” theme song from the movie with the same name jumpstarted our 2nd annual event. The theme of the event was “AgilLink: Connecting you to what matters most for your business.” Verna Grayce Chao, General Manager of Datafaction, kicked off the meeting with the 2019 vision and strategy for Datafaction. She covered what our clients can expect in the upcoming year and the value that AgilLink will create for their businesses.
After Verna Grace got everyone hyped up on AgilLink, we welcomed Amy Vetter, President and CEO of QuickStart Training Inc. as our keynote speaker. Amy has been recognized as one of the Most Powerful Women in Accounting by CPA Practice Advisor and a Top 100 Most Influential Person by Accounting Today. She shared excerpts from her book: Becoming a Cherished Advisor: The Soft Skills Needed to Create Long-Lasting Client Relationships. It resonated with the audience with how they can create more meaning to their client relationship than just business.
After Amy, we got focused back on AgilLink as the song “The Boys Are Back in Town!” introduced many to our recently expanded team of product managers to the stage. Chris Beattie, Omar Lozano, Eric Kim and Matt Baker presented what a typical client that business manager’s deal with in their daily business life. They told stories of different scenarios that our clients are all too familiar with and showed how AgilLink can make their businesses and lives much easier.
Mark Wickersham, Datafaction Business Consultant, also a recent addition to the Datafaction team announced investment integration was coming to the AgilLink platform. This integration will be a powerful addition where it will allow tracking and presenting a complete financial view for clients.
After a lunch, we discussed what was on deck with the AgilLink roadmap with upcoming functionality and the story behind how we came to these decisions and how we’re are going to get there.
With a few clients just now making the conversion to AgilLink, Jeffery Hansen, Client Services Manager covered our methodology in assisting our clients make the jump to something new, and the technology required to join the revolution with standard change management.
Don Ludwig, Datafaction Sales Manager, hosted a fireside chat that discussed how City National and Datafaction colleagues “work together,” the synergy that is created through this partnership and how it helps our clients meet the needs of their business.
As the meeting drew towards the end, we offered up workshops where clients could see firsthand up-close and personal with the progress that AgilLink has made in the past year. They were able to dive deeper and view step by step direction with all the latest features that had been added.
The day concluded with a reception that allowed all in attendance to mingle and unwind for it was a lot information to soak in, but the buzz it created with the crowd left them eager to see what AgilLink has in store for 2019!
November 8, 2018 Cornell Club New York City:
We recently held our first Datafaction AccuInsight User Group meeting in New York. The conference was attended by existing clients, City National colleagues and clients. Don Ludwig, Sales Manager and Brian Kleinman, Client Liaison and Strategy from Datafaction hosted the event. Amy Vetter, a key influencer in the accounting industry, tech business executive, entrepreneur and accomplished author was also our keynote speaker for this event.
As it was with on the west coast, the theme was “AgilLink: Connecting you to what matters most for your business.” Since the crowd was a mixed bag of new, old, and non-Datafaction users, the meeting was more an introduction to all things AgilLink. We introduced our product strategy, latest capabilities, adoption and received plenty of questions and feedback on AgilLink. It was a fantastic opportunity to announce our presence on the east coast. We had a great time connecting with friends and colleagues in the industry that we don’t normally get to see on a regular basis. The value that was gained from our first New York event was an experience we won’t soon forget and we can’t wait to come back next year!
We already have a head start on planning next year’s events to be “the greatest show” yet!
